A BRIEF HISTORY OF SATAN
with help from C.S. Lewis’
“The Screwtape Letters”
led by the Rev. Thomas P. O’Dell
Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
March 4, 11, 18, & 25
When did people first begin talking about Satan?
Who is Satan?
What does Satan do?
How does Satan operate?
In Lent, we’ll dare to explore these and other questions about Evil. Thank goodness! We’ll have the assistance of C.S. Lewis’ take on the matter as we read his satiric masterpiece, The Screwtape Letters. Our study will include a look at the appearances of Satan in the Bible. The Rev. Thomas O’Dell will lead the discussions.
March 11th: 37-79 (Letter 8-15)
March 18th: 81-133 (Letters 16-24)
March 25th: 135-175 (Letters 25-31)
Books will be provided thanks to the CEC Taylor Family Endowment Fund.
All are welcome.
No fee or preregistration required.
